Fourth Post (Canandaigua Lake)

I fished Canandaigua Lake on 9/21/08. I boated two fish one did not survive the catch while the other was released just fine. The first fish was caught around 9am and the other around 1030 am. It was a good day on the lake plenty of sun then some cloudiness and a little bit of rain. I picked up both fish trolling 77 feet over 90 feet of water both fish also took a Bikini Needle fish spoon. Enjoy for now because I plan on fishing tomorrow.

Third Post (Genesee River Death)

NOTE: This pic is of myself with a good size king salmon caught on the Genesee River (9/07) which brings me to my thought of the day.


It was brought to my attention on the Sanders Fishing Forum website a terrible occurrence has been reported and confirmed. Earlier in the week a man was fishing the North Genesee Gorge somehow fell into the water and never re-surfaced again until search and rescue recovered his body days later. Rest in Peace my fellow fisherman. My thoughts and prays go out to his family.

For some may never understand why us fisherman take such risks in chasing the King Salmon or other fish for that matter. I can only explain it by saying 'once you catch one King Salmon on the mighty Genesee it is tough to give it up.'
